Episode 4:   The Munchies
Popcorn for all occasions

Microwavable popcorn packages come in many different flavors and can be enjoyed on their own. However, if you are adventurous and would like to serve popcorn with a theme, or you are just bored of the same old same old, here is a matrix that can be useful.
Large Equipment needed: microwave oven, a very large bowl
Preparation time: depending on popcorn instructions, but no more than 10 minutes.
Initial ingredients:
     1 bag of plain, unsalted microwavable popcorn (which makes approximately 6 cups popcorn)
     2 tablespoons or 6 pats of butter

Occasion Ingredient(s) for Occasion
Fall Harvest Party 1 cup of nuts
1/2 up of chocolate chips
1/2 cup of honey
No other dessert around 3 teaspoons of confectioner’s sugar
1 teaspoon of lemon juice
1 teaspoon of vanilla
We were going to have an
Italian Food, but we’re too cheap
2 tablespoon of finely graded parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon of dry parsley or oregano
Hot Valentine Snack 1/3 teaspoon of chili powder
½ teaspoon of paprika



Papaya - Brazilian Style

Large Equipment needed: knife, spoon
Preparation time: 1 minute
Ingredients:
    1 medium size papaya. Make sure that the papaya is ripe when you buy it. If it is not soft to the touch, leave it outside the refrigerator for a day or two before eating it. Don’t worry if it develops a few dots of brown on the skin.
     1/4 lemon or1 tablespoon of lemon juice
Preparation:
    Cut the papaya into half. Use a spoon to scoop out the black seeds and the stringy insides. Try not to take out the papaya meat.
     Sprinkle the lemon juice over the papaya and eat with a spoon by scooping out the meat of the fruit. Try not to scoop out the rind; it can be bitter.

Perfectly Healthy Dessert

Large Equipment needed: spoon
Preparation time: 1 minute
Ingredients:
    1 graham cracker
     1 tablespoon of cottage cheese
     1 teaspoon raisins
     A dash of cinnamon
     1/2 teaspoon or 1/2 packet honey
Preparation:
Place graham cracker on a plate (or a paper towel, napkin, or any other clean surface). Top with cottage cheese and spread gently. Cover with raisins, a dash of cinnamon and honey.
Servings: 1



No ice cream banana chocolate sundae

Large/Special Equipment Needed: electric grill, knife
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
    1 banana, peeled and cut lengthwise
     1 milk chocolate candy bar, broken into 1/2 inch squares
     1 can of whipped cream
     1 handful of raisins
     1 handful of nuts
Preparation:
    Preheat electric grill as directed
    With the flat side of the banana facing down, slice shallow pockets into the fruit without cutting through. You might have better luck starting with bananas that have been in your fridge for at least ten minutes.
    Insert the chocolate pieces into the banana pockets.
    Carefully place the banana on the grill for 2 minutes or until chocolate is melted.
    Transfer the banana onto a plate and cover with whip cream, nuts, and raisins.
