Looking to target your message and optimize your advertising buys? RU-tv offers a captivate audience that can be the right fit for your campaign. Every day thousands of students tune into Rutgers' eight university-sponsored channels at campuses in New Brunswick and Piscataway. RU-tv is available in all residence halls in New Brunswick and Piscataway, as well as student centers, libraries, and administrative buildings.
RU-tv offers an easy and budget-conscious outlet, enabling you to target your message to an audience of more than 37,000 undergraduate and graduate students at Rutgers–New Brunswick.
Underwriting Policies: All programs on the RU-tv Network’s university-operated channels are noncommercial. All advertising and underwriting must comply with the university policy on sponsorships, endorsements, and the acceptance of paid advertising, and with the governing policies of RU-tv. Download RU-tv's policies [PDF]. Advertising may however contain sponsorship credits with audio and video acknowledgment at the beginning and end of each program.
Placement: RU-tv currently offers advertising on the Rutgers Preview Channel (RU-tv Ch. 6), one of our most watched channels. Static text/graphic advertising spots are located in the upper left-hand corner of the screen, adjacent to the daily weather forecast and the channel guide. (See below.) Your 15-second segment, will loop at least every four minutes, generating a minimum of 360 impressions per day, a minimum of 2,520 impressions a week.
Graphics development: RU-tv is available to help you design an advertisment, or you may submit television-ready ads, using the specifications below. RU-tv reserves the right to edit and/or reject advertising based on university and RU-tv policies [PDF].
Deadlines: The RU-tv Marketing Department is available to design advertisements. All copy, logos, and background graphics MUST be submitted at least one (1) week prior to the ads intended run date.
Sizes & Format Guidelines:
Base rates apply to a one-week rotation, which begins at 3 p.m. on Sunday and ends at 2:59:59 p.m. the following Sunday.
