    RU-tv has expanded its programming lineup.  Encore (Ch. 36.8) and Encore Classic (Ch. 36.9) have been added to the channels lineup along with POP (35.6), The Science Channel (35.7) and Bloomberg (35.8).

    As of October 1, 2015, sports channels MSG, MSG+ and SNY will no longer be carried the RU-tv Network.

    These channels were included in a sports package that we subscribed to , but the channels decided to leave the package and become premium services.

    The fee to carry these channels with their new configuration will be cost prohibitive for RU-tv.

    RU-tv has converted its signal from Analog to Digital. As a result, it has a new Channel Lineup (check RU-tv channel guide for more info). All channels on the network now start on channel 23.1.

    The RU-tv Channels will be converting to all Digital on Friday, August 1. There will be a disruption of service with the channel assignments and the work should be completed by late next week. Please check the Channel Guide for the new channel lineup.

    The Big Ten Network (BTN) will be showing Rutgers games all day on August 1. As part of this coverage, BTN will air an hour-long show, "The Big Ten Welcomes Rutgers," with interviews with Julie Hermann, Kyle Flood, Eddie Jordan, and others. That show is at 10 a.m. You can watch BTN from your computer here and by signing in with your cable provider.

    The Weather Nation has replaced The Weather Channel on channels 14 and 32.3. Viewers may also catch WeatherWatcher updates every 15 minutes on channel 6 during the semester.

    RFD-TV (channel 39.4) and CMT (channel 39.5) are now a part of the RU-tv network lineup. To view these channels, please reprogram your TV.

    NBA TV can now be watched on channel 39.3. We recommend that you reprogram your TV set to have 39.3 accepted by your TV if you are not currently receiving the channel. If you are having trouble connecting to the RU-tv network, please visit our How To Connect page here.

    Please note that when connecting a TV for the first time or if you are already connected to the RU-tv cable system, these changes may require you to reprogram your TV to view the RU-tv channels. Users can find this function in the menu of their televisions.


    TiVo users, before purchasing TiVo please verify through TiVo that the model you are purchasing is compatible with QAM256. If you are having problems, please contact TiVo directly and have them help with your setup. Make sure the TiVo unit is correctly installed and that you mention to the TIVO tech that the unit is receiving both analog and QAM256. This will be important to them when working to get you online. If you cannot plug a unit in and have it working automatically, you will need TiVo assistance. View additional programming instructions here.
